What to Expect During Your Appointment

Larger pets will be provided with a comfortable cushion on the floor to lie on, and smaller pets usually sit in their owner's lap.

You will be asked to hold the treatment pad on the area of your pet's body that we are targeting for the duration of the treatment. If desired, an assistant will remain in the room with you for additional help.

Your pet will feel warmth from the pad, but the temperature does not become high enough to cause pain or burning. The heat is essential to the efficacy of treatment and indicates the apparatus is working properly. Sometimes, a patient may become agitated from the warmth. In these cases, we can make adjustments for their comfort.

The sessions last between 20 and 60 minutes depending on the patient and the condition being treated.
